As I was listening to the highlights of the Dodgers first game of the season, feelings of anxiety came rushing back to me. I remember watching our last game of the season last year, I was left hopeless and disappointed. Then again, it is baseball, and as baseball fans we must learn to deal with disappointment very early on.
All the excitement and expectations building up around the new ownership of the Dodgers can be a bit overwhelming at times. Yes, we are all so happy that someone like Magic Johnson, an LA figure has some (I believe is less than 3%) ownership of the team. Already eager fans and bitter critics are bashing Johnson for sitting next to Frank McCourt at the game. Shocked? We shouldn’t be, these guys are business men; they think alike, speak the same language. Let them do their thing, it’s too early to predict anything. All we can do is wait and see if the new ownership, Guggenheim Baseball Management LLC does a better job than the McCourts at managing the team, the bar has been set pretty low.
GO DOYERS!!! We love LA!
