On Thursday night, Gustavo Arellano held a book signing at the Fullerton Library to reveal his latest creation, “Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America”. The unprepared lecture by Gustavo was phenomenal in terms of delivering the book’s intended message. In his lecture he shows great passion towards the book and much enthusiasm in describing the text. Taco USA describes different Mexican foods all throughout America and how they have came about establishing new grounds. With Gustavo’s intrusive investigations, he was able to gather a lot of information that led to new discoveries behind the Mexican foods.

Gustavo Arellano is the editor for the OC Weekly and a professor at Cal State University Fullerton in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies. As a journalist and an educator, he is passionate about his work and making it known to the public. He speaks like an activist and is clearly concerned on interpreting the meaning of a Latin background.

I personally enjoyed the book signing as so did everyone in the congested library. Everyone was laughing and having a good time as he joked and read pieces off his new book. What made the night even more interesting was the fact that we had to interview three people at the book signing, asking them questions in regards to the event.
